What the Ultimate Edition adds
Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as an exclusive collection of items tied to Jason and Lucia's story. The items don't all arrive at once: they unlock as the campaign progresses. Items shown on the official media page include:
- The 1995 Grotti Cheetah sports car.
- The Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers and custom weapon variants.
- Outfits from the Vice City Style line.
- Vehicles for Jason's hideout, including a retro Vapid Ganado.
- The Shitzu Squalo speedboat.
- The 1967 Vapid Dominator Buggy, with its own garage in Watson Bay.
- Items from the Goodtime Gear and PTT stores, and a collection of classic cars.
Pre-order bonus: Vintage Vice City Pack
Anyone who pre-orders the game gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, with any edition. According to Rockstar, it includes:
- A 1955 Vapid Stanier with a two-tone paint job and a garage in Ocean Beach.
- '80s-style outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia.
- A weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti, the protagonist of GTA Vice City.
The bonus applies to digital purchases made by November 20. For physical edition pre-orders, it lasts while supplies last.
One month of GTA+
Digital stores offer one free month of the GTA+ service with pre-orders. Sources disagree about Xbox: Gematsu cites both the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store, while HotHardware says the offer is PlayStation only. On PS5, the subscription renews automatically after the free month unless you cancel, so it is worth setting a reminder.
The physical version has no disc
The physical editions don't include a Blu-ray. Inside the box is a code to download the game from the console's store. That means a download is still required, even if you buy in a physical store.
