One of the most common GTA 6 questions is simple: "what about PC?". The official answer is also simple: nothing yet. But Rockstar is one of the most predictable companies in the industry on this front.
What is confirmed
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has never mentioned PC in trailers, announcements or on the official website, and Take-Two has not announced a PC version either.
The track record
| Game | Consoles | PC | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTA IV | April 2008 | December 2008 | ~8 months |
| GTA V | September 2013 | April 2015 | ~19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 2018 | November 2019 | ~13 months |
| Red Dead Redemption | May 2010 | October 2024 | ~14 years |
Leaving aside the extreme case of the first Red Dead, the typical gap is one to one and a half years. Applied to GTA 6, that points to somewhere between late 2027 and the first half of 2028.
What is circulating
- "PC with the next console generation": forum speculation that Rockstar will wait for the next PlayStation and Xbox to release an enhanced version everywhere. No source.
- "Announced at launch": there is no sign of that. With RDR2, the PC version was only announced in October 2019, almost a year after the console release.
- Leaked requirements: every "minimum requirements" list going around is made up. None has a traceable origin.
The PC version of GTA V sold for more than a decade and still sustains GTA Online. Rockstar will not ignore that market; it will just make it wait.
