Microsoft held the ID@Xbox Showcase with IGN on Tuesday (October 20), and the biggest surprise was Shrek 2 Remastered, coming November 10 to Xbox Series X|S. The official Xbox Wire recap also lists dates for games arriving in 2026 and 2027, several of them launching on Game Pass.

The headline: Shrek 2 Remastered

According to Pure Xbox, the game is developed by Aspyr, based on the DreamWorks film, and had already shown up on an Xbox Store page before the event. The listing describes a rebuilt version with better textures, an enhanced UI, 4K resolution and cutscenes, plus a Photo Mode and a Cheat Mode. You can play solo or in co-op with up to three friends. Pre-orders are open, and Xbox Wire says Game Pass members get up to 20% off through November 9 (10% for non-members). The sources we checked did not state a price.

  • Arctic Eggs (Critical Reflex): available today on Xbox Series X|S.
  • Scramble Knights Online: October 26, Series X|S and PC, with Game Pass.
  • Mouthwashing (Critical Reflex): October 29, Series X|S, PC and Xbox One, with Game Pass.
  • The Wolf Among Us Remastered: October 29 (digital), with a Noir Mode and playable deleted scenes.
  • Zero Parades: Director's Cut: November 3, with about 40,000 words of new story. The recap does not state the year.
  • A Game About Digging a Hole Together: December 4, on Game Pass at launch.
  • Paper Shredder: winter 2026.

What comes in 2027

The 2027 list is long. Croak, a 2D platformer in which a frog uses its tongue as a grapple, arrives in March on Game Pass on day one. Magenta Down, from the makers of Unto The End, and Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game (voiced by Matt Mercer) come early in the year, as do Vanran and Waveling Island. Mr. Records is set for spring; Chronoscript: The Endless End and Drill Keeper for summer; Rustown has a June 30 date; Love is a Roguelite arrives in fall and Graytail in November 2027. Critical Reflex's No, I'm Not a Human is slated for 2027, also on Game Pass. Red Kiss, a tactical vampire RPG set in Cold War Berlin, is coming soon with day-one Game Pass.

The show reinforces Xbox's bet on indies and smaller-budget games to keep Game Pass busy while the big productions are still on the way. For anyone following the catalog, the week's highlight is the October 26 to 29 window, which packs Scramble Knights Online, Mouthwashing and The Wolf Among Us Remastered.
